These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the text messaging (SMS) service provided byNotaría Internacional (hereinafter, "the Notary", "we", "us" or "our"). By subscribing and receiving our messages, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree, you should not subscribe to the SMS service.

1. Description of the SMS service

Our SMS service allows you to receive text messages related to notarial services, including, but not limited to: appointment confirmation and reminders, document status updates, instructions for procedures, and important notices about schedules or legal requirements. This service is offered solely for informational and management purposes related to your notarial process, not for promotional or marketing purposes.

2. Consent and subscription

You give your explicit consent to receive SMS messages from Notaría Internacional when you perform any of the following actions:

• Check a box on our website or contact form indicating your acceptance.
• Verbally provide your phone number at our office and agree to receive messages.
• Send a keyword such as START or YES to our messaging number.

By signing up, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy(available on our website).

3. Message frequency and charges

Frequency: The number of messages may vary depending on the activity of your case, but will normally not exceed [for example, 10 messages per month].

Messaging and data rates: Your mobile carrier may charge standard rates for sending and receiving text messages, as well as for data usage. You are responsible for all charges your carrier imposes. Notaría Internacional is not liable for any additional fees from your telephone provider.

4. How to cancel subscription (Opt‑out) and get help (Help)

• Cancel (opt‑out): You may unsubscribe at any time by replying to any of our messages with the word STOP. You will receive a confirmation message of cancellation and will not receive further SMS from us unless you resubscribe.
• Help: For assistance, send the word HELP to our number. You will receive contact instructions or a message with support information.
• Additional support: You may also call us at[phone number of the notary] or send an email to [contact email]. We will respond within a maximum of 2 business days.

5. Automated dialing systems

By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that SMS messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system (autodialer) or an electronic messaging platform. Consent to receive these messages is not a mandatory condition for the purchase or use of our notarial services. You may receive notarial services through other means (in‑person, phone, or email) without subscribing to SMS.

6. Privacy and data protection

We are committed to protecting your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes unrelated to the SMS service. We only share your data with messaging service providers (e.g., Telnyx) to operate the service, and when required by law. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of liability

Notaría Internacional will make every effort to deliver SMS messages in a timely and accurate manner. However, we do not guarantee that messages will be delivered without delays, interruptions, or errors, as the service depends on mobile carriers and network coverage. We shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the SMS service.

8. Modifications to these Terms and Conditions

We may update these terms periodically. Any material changes will be notified by a notice on our website or, if possible, through a text message to active users. The "Last updated" date indicates the current version. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New York and of the United States of America. Any dispute arising from this service shall be resolved exclusively before the courts of Queens County, New York.
